Can Vinyl be Glued?

For gluing vinyl & cellular PVC products, use standard PVC or Cellular PVC cements. And for touch ups, always use non-solvent-base fillers. We recommend All Purpose Painter's Putty, High Performance Wood Filler and Shrink Free Spackling.

Can I paint or stain color to my Inteplast Building Products cellular PVC?

Yes. Although Inteplast Building Products cellular PVC does not need painting or staining to maintain its looks. It can be done. You can paint or stain to achieve a custom color, but it is not necessary for protection like wood. Paints and stains that adhere well to wood will work as well or better with Inteplast Building Products cellular PVC/vinyl products. Inteplast Building Products TRIM, DECK, MOULDING, and SIDING require different grades of paint or stain based on product application/installation.

Are there environmental advantages to using Inteplast Building Products?

Yes. Lifecycle analysis and independent studies have shown PVC?s environmental impact to be favorable when compared to other materials used for construction. Can I use glue or caulk with TUF board? DECK?

Do not use caulk to fasten TUF board? DECK or to seal between any deck boards. This will impede the drainage and inhibit the natural expansion and contraction of the boards which will create serious issues.

Do I have to pre-drill Inteplast Building Products DECK when installing?

For Inteplast Building Products DECK, you will never need to pre-drill unless installed in extremely cold situations and when you are within 1-1/2" from the end of deck board. Inteplast Building Products DECK will not mushroom when you screw your boards.
